Callaway getaway
Well, only a day trip. Callaway Gardens is a gem in Pine Mountain, Georgia…we spent President’s Day there. The girls are enjoying having Grandpa here for a month! Click on the ‘More Photos’ link to the right for more pictures.
From Picasso to Warhol
There is a great exhibit at the High Museum of Art called ‘Picasso to Warhol’, featuring some great 20th century works. The girls really enjoyed it. You can see a slideshow here.
Braces: The Sequel
Emily followed Elisabeth by 8 months in getting her braces this week!
Happy New Year!
2011 in review
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,700 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 28 trips to carry that many people.
Holiday recital
Elisabeth and Emily played piano at North Point Mall in Alpharetta, GA on December 10, 2011.
Lucille Martilotta: January 7, 1930 – November 26, 2011
I took this picture the last visit where I saw my Mom alive. It was a good day…she was so happy and in good spirits. She’s had a rough go of it over the last several years, but I think you can ask anyone who knew her, and they would tell you she was the sweetest woman they knew (and I’m not just saying it because she was my mother – honest!). RIP, Mom.
Another Thanksgiving, another beach
It was time to take our annual beach vacation over Thanksgiving. This year, we spent it at Gulf Shores, Alabama, courtesy of my friend Barry (thanks for letting us use your condo)! You can see a slideshow here.
A Brave encounter
